The concept for GCS (Grand Canyon State) Facilitators and Consultants was initiated in San Diego California in 2001 with the conception of Operation Save Our Youth's Lives Inc. That said, the company was actually started in Phoenix Arizona in 2005 by it's owner, founder and Solepreneur Mr. Wesley E. Etheridge Sr., a retired US Naval Veteran, who was born and raised in the Tidewater area which is now affectionately called the Hampton Roads area.
Wes, is a United States Navy Master Training Specialist, Certified Diplomate Adolescent and Adult Anger Management Facilitator, Virginia Workforce Development Professional, Court Appointed Special Advocate or CASA and a Qualified Supreme Court of Virginia Parent Educator.
He has a Behavioral Sciences Degree in Alcohol and Other Drug Studies and facilitates Alcohol and Substance Abuse classes for ASAP, is a Desktop Publisher, Curriculum Developer, Community Activist and former Executive Director of an Award Winning Curriculum facilitated by a non-profit grass roots organization.
He is also the recipient of the following awards: Tidewater Tech's Community Dedication Award 2012 Winter Graduation Commencement Address, State of Virginia "Go the Extra Mile Award", Gandhi Non -Violence Award, San Diego Channel 10 Community Leadership Award and various Congressional, State and local awards for performing superior Community Service.
